Ultimate Banana Split Milkshakes (Print version)

Thick banana split milkshakes with banana, vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate ice cream, finished with whipped cream, syrup, fruit, nuts, and cherries.

# Ingredients:

For the milkshake base

01 - 2 ripe bananas, sliced, frozen if you want a thicker shake
02 - 4 scoops vanilla ice cream
03 - 2 scoops strawberry ice cream
04 - 2 scoops chocolate ice cream
05 - 1 to 2 cups (240 to 480 ml) whole milk, added as needed

For the glasses and topping

06 - 1/4 cup (60 ml) chocolate syrup, plus more as needed
07 - 1/4 cup (60 ml) strawberry syrup
08 - 1 cup whipped cream
09 - Fresh strawberries, raspberries, and banana slices, for topping
10 - 2 tablespoons chopped nuts, optional
11 - 2 tablespoons granola, optional
12 - 2 chocolate wafers, optional
13 - 2 maraschino cherries

# Instructions:

01 - Place two tall glasses in the freezer for about 10 minutes while you gather the ingredients. Cold glasses help the syrup streaks hold and keep the shake thick.
02 - Add the bananas, vanilla ice cream, strawberry ice cream, chocolate ice cream, and 1 cup milk to a blender. Blend until smooth and creamy, adding more milk a splash at a time only if needed.
03 - Drizzle chocolate syrup around the inside walls of each chilled glass so it runs down in streaks.
04 - Divide the milkshake between the glasses. Add a tall swirl of whipped cream and drizzle with strawberry syrup.
05 - Top with strawberries, raspberries, banana slices, chopped nuts, granola, chocolate wafers, and a maraschino cherry. Serve immediately while cold and thick.

# Good to know:

01 - Use frozen banana slices for the thickest texture.
02 - Best served immediately after blending.
03 - Makes 2 large milkshakes or 4 small dessert drinks.
