Swirled Garlic Herb & Cheese Bread (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Dough Base

01 - ¾ cup buttermilk, room temperature
02 - 2½ teaspoons instant yeast
03 - 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
04 - 3 large eggs, room temperature
05 - 3½-4 cups bread flour
06 - 1¼ teaspoons salt

→ Filling

07 - 6 tablespoons salted butter, room temperature
08 - 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
09 - ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
10 - 2 cups grated cheddar cheese
11 - ½ cup fresh chopped basil
12 - 2 tablespoons fresh chopped thyme
13 - 1 tablespoon fresh chopped oregano

→ Topping

14 - 2 tablespoons salted butter, melted
15 - ¼ teaspoon garlic powder

# Instructions:

01 - Mix buttermilk, yeast, sugar, eggs, flour, and salt in stand mixer with dough hook 4-5 minutes. Add 2 tablespoons butter, mix 2-3 minutes more. Add more flour if needed until smooth.
02 - Cover bowl with plastic wrap, let rise in warm place 2 hours until doubled. Meanwhile, combine remaining butter, garlic, cheeses, and herbs in small bowl.
03 - Roll dough to 12x18 inch rectangle. Spread with herb-butter mixture and cheddar. Roll into log lengthwise and pinch to seal.
04 - Cut log in half lengthwise (leaving one end intact). Cross halves over each other to create twist. Place on parchment-lined baking sheet.
05 - Cover with plastic wrap and let rise 45 minutes in warm place.
06 - Brush with melted butter and garlic powder. Bake at 350°F for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
