Allow cream cheese to reach room temperature for optimal blending or ensure coconut cream is thick and smooth. Discard any cans of coconut cream that are hard or flaky, as they will not yield a satisfactory texture.

Remove stems from strawberries. Using a blender or food processor, puree the berries until completely smooth.

Add the cream cheese or coconut cream, yogurt or alternative, powdered sugar, strawberry puree, and vanilla bean paste (if using) to a mixing bowl. Blend with a food processor, blender, or hand mixer until the mixture is entirely smooth and homogenous.

Transfer the mousse mixture into serving dishes. Refrigerate for several hours to allow the mousse to set and thicken.
