Set up a boiling water bath and simmer lids in a small saucepan.

Clean the green beans thoroughly and trim them to fit into the jars, cutting in half if necessary.

Combine white vinegar, water, and pickling salt in a saucepan and bring it to a boil.

Pack the green beans firmly into the jars, leaving 1/2 inch of headspace. Add 1 garlic clove, 1 teaspoon of dill seeds, and 1 teaspoon of red chile flakes to each jar.

Pour the hot brine over the beans, maintaining 1/2 inch of headspace. Use a chopstick to remove any air bubbles.

Wipe the rims clean, apply the lids and rings, and process the jars in the hot water bath for 10 minutes.
