Spicy Dilly Beans (Print Version)

Crisp green beans with garlic, dill, and chili flakes. A zesty treat for canning or snacking!

01 - 3 pounds green beans
02 - 2.5 cups white vinegar
03 - 2.5 cups water
04 - 4 tablespoons pickling salt
05 - 5 medium cloves garlic
06 - 5 teaspoons dill seed
07 - 5 teaspoons red chile flakes

# Instructions:

01 - Set up a boiling water bath and simmer lids in a small saucepan.
02 - Clean the green beans thoroughly and trim them to fit into the jars, cutting in half if necessary.
03 - Combine white vinegar, water, and pickling salt in a saucepan and bring it to a boil.
04 - Pack the green beans firmly into the jars, leaving 1/2 inch of headspace. Add 1 garlic clove, 1 teaspoon of dill seeds, and 1 teaspoon of red chile flakes to each jar.
05 - Pour the hot brine over the beans, maintaining 1/2 inch of headspace. Use a chopstick to remove any air bubbles.
06 - Wipe the rims clean, apply the lids and rings, and process the jars in the hot water bath for 10 minutes.
