Soft Christmas Peppermints (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/2 cup butter.
02 - 4 cups powdered sugar.
03 - 2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream.
04 - 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract.
05 - Red coloring gel or food coloring.

# Instructions:

01 - Set up workspace with parchment or wax paper. Have extra powdered sugar ready for rolling.
02 - Beat room temperature butter until fluffy. Mix in cream, powdered sugar, and peppermint extract until firm.
03 - Divide dough. Color 1/4 red and leave 3/4 white. Form into balls.
04 - Make thin red rope and thicker white rope. Twist together and roll between palms to smooth.
05 - Let twisted ropes dry 1-2 hours, then cut into pieces with pizza cutter. Let dry 24 hours completely.
