Shrimp Lo Mein With Red And Green Pepper (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 8 ounces lo mein noodles
02 - 2 tablespoons extra virgin oil

→ Proteins & Vegetables

03 - 1 pound medium sized raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
04 - 1 medium carrot, peeled and thinly sliced
05 - 1 cup green onion, roughly chopped, plus more for garnish

→ Sauce & Seasonings

06 - 1 tablespoon minced garlic
07 - ⅓ cup low sodium soy sauce
08 - ¼ cup teriyaki sauce
09 - 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - Cook lo mein noodles according to package directions. Drain well and set aside.
02 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat.
03 - Sauté carrots for 2 minutes. Push to side, add shrimp and cook 3 minutes until pink. Stir together.
04 - Add garlic, soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, green onions, noodles and optional red pepper flakes. Cook 2-3 minutes, stirring continuously.
05 - Remove from heat and garnish with additional green onions.
