Sausage Pepper Pasta Dish (Print Version)

01 - 16 ounces penne pasta
02 - Salt
03 - 1 pound ground Italian sausage
04 - 1 red bell pepper, sliced
05 - 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
06 - 1 onion, diced
07 - 2 cans (15 ounces each) diced tomatoes
08 - 3 teaspoons Italian seasoning

# Instructions:

01 - Boil pasta in salted water according to package instructions. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
02 - Brown the ground Italian sausage in a skillet over medium-high heat for about 6 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
03 - Add diced onions to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes. Stir in the bell peppers, diced tomatoes, and Italian seasoning. Cook for 8-10 minutes until the peppers soften.
04 - Mix the cooked pasta with the sausage and vegetable mixture in a large pot.
05 - Add the reserved pasta water gradually to reach the desired consistency. Top with Parmesan cheese and serve immediately.

01 - Start cooking the pasta when adding peppers to the skillet to time everything to finish together.
02 - Gradually add the reserved pasta water to adjust the sauce consistency to your preference.
