Sausage French Toast Roll-Ups (Print Version)

Warm bread wrapped around sausage, dipped in egg, cooked golden, and rolled in cinnamon sugar.

# Ingredients:

→ Roll-Ups

01 - 8 slices white sandwich bread, crusts removed
02 - 8 fully cooked sausage links (pork or turkey)
03 - 2 large eggs
04 - 60 ml milk
05 - 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
06 - 0.25 teaspoon ground cinnamon
07 - 15 g butter, for cooking

→ Topping

08 - 50 g granulated sugar
09 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
10 - Maple syrup, for serving

# Instructions:

01 - Using a rolling pin, flatten each bread slice evenly to make it pliable for rolling.
02 - Place one sausage link along the edge of a flattened bread slice and roll tightly to secure. Repeat with remaining sausages and bread.
03 - In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined.
04 - Heat butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Dip each roll-up in the egg mixture to coat completely. Place seam-side down into the skillet. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side, turning until golden on all sides.
05 - In a small bowl, combine sugar and ground cinnamon. Immediately roll cooked roll-ups in the cinnamon-sugar mixture to coat evenly.
06 - Serve warm alongside maple syrup for dipping or drizzling.

# Notes:

01 - For best results, use day-old bread to minimize sogginess during dipping and cooking.
