Season the thinly sliced ribeye steak with half of the salt, pepper, and canola oil.

Heat a skillet over high heat and sear the beef for 2 minutes without moving it.

Add the Worcestershire sauce, stir briefly, then remove the beef from the skillet.

In the same skillet, add the butter, sliced bell pepper, onion, and mushrooms with the remaining seasoning. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are golden.

Spread mayonnaise on each half of the French bread.

Layer each half with half of the Provolone cheese slices, followed by the cooked beef, vegetables, and the remaining cheese slices.

Place the bread on the middle rack of the oven and bake for 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the bread is crispy and golden brown.
