01 -
Let your pie hang out for a few minutes after it comes outta the oven. This helps everything settle. Then grab a sharp knife, slice it up, and enjoy while it's nice and warm.
02 -
Pop your pie on the center rack and bake for 20 to 25 minutes. The crust should be golden and the cheesy top all bubbly.
03 -
Lay your last pie crust over the top. Squeeze or pinch the edges shut so the filling doesn’t spill out. Brush the top with melted butter. Toss on a little more garlic powder if you’d like.
04 -
Now, layer on the rest of your mozzarella and all of your shredded cheddar or provolone. If you saved extra pepperoni slices, spread ‘em over the top.
05 -
Pour your pizza or marinara sauce all over the meats and pepperoni. Then shake on Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and a little red pepper if you want a bit of zing.
06 -
Toss the cooked ground beef plus Italian sausage, and half of your pepperoni over that cheese. Try to spread it out so every bite has a bit of everything.
07 -
Take one pie crust and shape it to fit your deep dish pan or skillet. Sprinkle half the mozzarella cheese all over the bottom.
08 -
Fire up your oven to 220°C (that’s 425°F) so it’s ready when you are.
09 -
Heat a skillet on medium. Toss in sausage and ground beef and cook until no pink is left. Get rid of extra grease and let it cool off just a bit.
