In a bowl, combine ricotta or cream cheese with lemon zest, minced garlic, chopped basil, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth and well incorporated.

Lay each salmon fillet flat and spread 1 to 2 tablespoons of the prepared cheese mixture along the center. Carefully roll up each fillet.

Place salmon rolls seam-side down atop the asparagus on the baking sheet. Drizzle over freshly squeezed lemon juice and additional olive oil.
