Italian Creamy Sausage Soup (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 lb Italian sausage.
02 - 1/2 cup diced onion.
03 - 2 cloves minced garlic.
04 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning.
05 - 1/2 teaspoon salt.
06 - 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper.
07 - 4 cups chicken broth.
08 - 1 14.5 ounces petite diced tomatoes.
09 - 8 ounces ditalini pasta.
10 - 8 ounces cream cheese, softened.
11 - 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese.
12 - 1/4 cup fresh basil.

# Instructions:

01 - Brown and crumble sausage in large dutch oven until cooked through. Drain excess grease.
02 - Add onion, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook 1-2 minutes. Add garlic and cook 1 minute more.
03 - Add tomatoes, broth, and pasta. Ensure pasta is covered by broth. Boil for 8 minutes until pasta is al dente.
04 - Reduce to medium heat. Stir in cream cheese and parmesan. Cook 5 minutes until cream cheese melts.
05 - Serve topped with fresh basil.

01 - Cook pasta al dente as it continues cooking.
02 - Soften and cube cream cheese for faster melting.
03 - Can add heavy cream to thin soup if desired.
