Garlic Butter Crab Legs (Print Version)

Crab legs coated with aromatic garlic butter and lemon, simmered to perfection for a crowd-pleasing dish.

# Ingredients:

→ Seafood

01 - 900 g crab legs (king or snow crab), thawed if previously frozen

→ Aromatics

02 - 5 cloves garlic, minced

→ Fats

03 - 115 g unsalted butter

→ Acid & Seasoning

04 - 15 ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
05 - 5 g Old Bay seasoning (optional)
06 - Salt, to taste

→ Garnish

07 - 15 g fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
08 - Lemon wedges, for serving

# Instructions:

01 - Using kitchen shears, carefully snip along the crab shells to make them easier to open. Rinse the crab legs under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
02 - Melt unsalted butter in a large skillet or saucepan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring constantly until fragrant without allowing the garlic to brown.
03 - Stir in the freshly squeezed lemon juice and Old Bay seasoning (if using) into the melted butter. Allow the mixture to gently simmer for 1 minute.
04 - Place the prepared crab legs into the skillet, spooning the hot garlic butter over the shells to ensure even coating. Cover and cook for 4 to 6 minutes, turning occasionally, until the crab meat is heated through.
05 - Transfer the heated crab legs to a serving platter. Drizzle with any remaining garlic butter, and optionally garnish with chopped fresh parsley and lemon wedges. Serve immediately with additional melted butter if desired.

# Notes:

01 - For optimal flavor, crack open the crab legs slightly before cooking to allow the butter sauce to permeate the meat.
