Garlic White Sauce (Print Version)

A smooth butter-rich topping with fresh garlic and Parmesan that turns basic pizza into a fancy white pizza treat.

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 tbsp plain unsalted butter
02 - 4 cloves garlic, chopped finely
03 - 3 tbsp regular flour
04 - 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
05 - 1/4 tsp salt
06 - 1/4 tsp dried oregano
07 - 1 cup full-fat milk
08 - 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan

# Instructions:

01 - Grab a small saucepan, put it on medium heat, and let the butter melt completely.
02 - Toss in your finely chopped garlic into the melted butter. Let it cook for around 30 seconds until you can smell it but before it turns brown.
03 - Scatter the flour, pepper, salt, and oregano into the pan. Keep whisking until you get a nice smooth paste (that's your roux). Cook it for a minute or two to get rid of that raw flour flavor.
04 - Slowly add milk while continuously whisking. Keep stirring until your sauce thickens up and looks smooth.
05 - Take the pan off the heat and mix in all your Parmesan until it's fully melted and your sauce looks nice and creamy.
06 - Spread it right away on pizza or let it cool down and pop it in the fridge in a sealed container.
