01 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
02 - 450 grams sausage, casing removed and sliced
03 - 80 grams diced onion
04 - 1 tablespoon minced garlic
05 - 480 millilitres chicken broth
06 - 400 grams canned diced tomatoes with juices
07 - 120 millilitres whole milk
08 - 225 grams dry pasta
09 - 0.5 teaspoon salt
10 - 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
11 - 2 cups shredded Cheddar-Jack cheese (about 200 grams)
12 - 0.25 teaspoon red pepper flakes

13 - 30 grams chopped scallions

# Instructions:

01 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and sausage. Cook for 5 minutes until sausage is browned and onions are soft.
02 - Add minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Continue cooking for 2 minutes, stirring frequently, until fragrant.
03 - Pour in chicken broth, diced tomatoes with juices, milk, and dry pasta. Stir until well mixed. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until pasta is fully cooked.
04 - Stir in shredded Cheddar-Jack cheese until completely melted and integrated with the pasta mixture.
05 - Remove the skillet from heat. Garnish with chopped scallions and serve immediately.
