Soft homemade breadsticks loaded with garlic butter and melted mozzarella, ready in about 35 minutes.

# Ingredients:

For the dough

01 - 2 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast
02 - 1 cup warm water
03 - 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
04 - 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
05 - 1 teaspoon fine sea salt
06 - 2 tablespoons olive oil

For the garlic butter

07 - 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
08 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
09 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
10 - 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
11 - 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
12 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

For the cheese

13 - 1 1/2 cups shredded low-moisture mozzarella
14 - 1/3 cup grated parmesan

# Instructions:

01 - Stir warm water, sugar, and yeast in a large bowl. Add olive oil, salt, and flour. Mix until a shaggy dough forms, then knead for 5 to 7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
02 - Drizzle a little olive oil over the dough, cover the bowl, and let rest for 15 to 20 minutes until relaxed and slightly puffed.
03 - Oil a 9x13-inch baking pan. Press the dough into an even layer about 1/2 inch thick with your fingertips. Let it rest 3 minutes if it springs back.
04 - Mix melted butter, garlic, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Brush over the dough. Sprinkle mozzarella and parmesan evenly on top.
05 - Bake at 425°F for 14 to 18 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and the edges are golden brown. Cool 5 minutes, then slice into sticks and serve warm.

# Good to know:

01 - Best served warm while the cheese is still melty.
02 - Shred mozzarella from a block for the best texture.
