Pioneer Woman Cheeseburger Pie (Print Version)

Ground beef, cheddar, and creamy Bisquick crust come together for easy comfort in every slice.

# Ingredients:

→ Meat and Vegetables

01 - 1 large onion, chopped (approximately 1 cup)
02 - 450 grams ground beef

→ Seasonings

03 - 0.5 teaspoon salt
04 - Ground black pepper, to taste
05 - Garlic powder, to taste (optional)

→ Dairy and Cheese

06 - 120 grams grated Cheddar cheese

→ Batter

07 - 65 grams Original Bisquick mix or all-purpose flour
08 - 240 millilitres whole milk
09 - 2 large eggs

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 200°C. Lightly grease a 23-centimetre glass pie plate with vegetable oil.
02 - In a large skillet, heat a small amount of oil over medium heat. Sauté chopped onion until soft, about 3 minutes.
03 - Add ground beef to skillet. Cook, breaking apart with a spatula, until browned, about 10 minutes. Drain excess fat.
04 - Season beef and onion mixture with salt, ground black pepper, and, if desired, garlic powder.
05 - Transfer seasoned beef and onion mixture evenly into prepared pie plate. Sprinkle grated Cheddar cheese over the meat.
06 - In a bowl, whisk together Bisquick mix or flour, whole milk, and eggs until fully combined.
07 - Pour batter evenly over meat and cheese layers in the pie plate. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the centre emerges clean.
08 - Let cool slightly, then slice and serve warm.

# Notes:

01 - For best results, allow the pie to rest for 5 minutes before slicing to ensure tidy portions.
