Bacon-Wrapped Grilled Cheese Fingers (Print Version)

Layers of cheese between bread, wrapped in bacon and grilled until golden and crisp.

# Ingredients:

01 - 8 slices white or whole-wheat sandwich bread
02 - 8 slices mild or sharp cheddar cheese
03 - 8 slices streaky bacon
04 - 30 millilitres unsalted butter, softened

# Instructions:

01 - Set the grill to medium heat and allow it to reach temperature.
02 - Spread softened butter evenly over one side of each bread slice.
03 - Layer one slice of cheese between two slices of bread with buttered sides facing outward.
04 - Tightly wrap each assembled sandwich with one strip of bacon, securing with toothpicks if necessary to maintain shape during grilling.
05 - Place bacon-wrapped sandwiches on the preheated grill and cook for approximately 6–8 minutes per side, turning once, until bacon is crisp and bread is golden brown.
06 - Remove toothpicks, slice into fingers, and serve immediately while hot.

01 - For added flavour, include sliced jalapeños within the cheese filling or serve alongside your preferred dipping sauce.
