Comfort Food (Print Version)

Ingredients:

01 - 1 packet dry onion soup mix.
02 - 1 cup crushed Ritz crackers.
03 - 1 egg, beaten.
04 - 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt.
05 - 1 teaspoon black pepper.
06 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder.
07 - 2 tablespoons ketchup.
08 - 1 tablespoon mustard.
09 - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce.
10 - 1 cup whole milk.
11 - 1 1/2 pounds ground beef.

Instructions:

01 - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
02 - In a large mixing bowl, combine the dry onion soup mix, crushed Ritz crackers, beaten egg, and whole milk. Allow the mixture to rest for a few minutes to absorb the liquids.
03 - Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, garlic powder, mustard, and ketchup until well combined.
04 - Add the ground beef to the mixture, gently mixing it in until just combined. Be careful not to over-mix to avoid making the meatloaf tough.
05 - Lightly spray a loaf pan with cooking spray and transfer the beef mixture into the pan, pressing it gently to shape but not compacting it too much.
06 - Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the meatloaf is fully cooked and no pink remains in the center.
07 - Let the meatloaf rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy!.

Notes:

01 - For an extra flavor boost, consider topping the meatloaf with additional ketchup or a glaze made from ketchup and brown sugar before baking.
02 - Serve the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beans for a classic, comforting meal.
