Hamburger Steaks (Print Version)

Ingredients:

01 - 1 lb. ground beef.
02 - 1 egg.
03 - 1/3 cup bread crumbs.
04 - 1/2 tsp. black pepper.
05 - 1 tsp. salt.
06 - 1/2 tsp. onion powder.
07 - 1 clove garlic, minced.
08 - 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce.
09 - 1 tbsp. oil.
10 - 1 1/2 cup thinly sliced onion.
11 - 2 tbsp. all-purpose flour.
12 - 1 cup beef broth.
13 - 1/2 tsp. salt.

Instructions:

01 - In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, egg, bread crumbs, pepper, salt, onion powder, garlic, and Worcestershire sauce until well combined.
02 - Form the mixture into thick patties.
03 - Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
04 - Fry the patties and onions in the skillet until the patties are nicely browned. Remove the beef patties to a plate and keep warm.
05 - Sprinkle the flour over the onions and drippings in the skillet. Stir in the flour with a fork, scraping the bits of beef off the bottom of the pan as you stir.
06 - Gradually mix in the beef broth. Season with seasoned salt. Simmer and stir over medium-low heat for about 5 minutes, until the gravy thickens.
07 - Turn the heat to low, return the patties to the gravy, cover, and simmer for another 15 minutes.
08 - Serve warm and enjoy.
