Fresh ground pepper (to taste).
08 -
Red pepper flakes (to taste).
09 -
Salt (to taste).
10 -
Fresh herbs (optional, to taste).
Instructions:
01 -
Boil the pasta in water until tender. Add a bit of olive oil, salt, and fresh herbs to the water. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water for later use. Drain the pasta and set it aside.
02 -
While the pasta is boiling, wash and prepare the shrimp.
03 -
Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the shrimp to the skillet.
04 -
Cook the shrimp until it starts to turn pink and curl, then add the minced garlic.
05 -
Continue cooking for 5-7 minutes, then add a drizzle of olive oil. Stir the shrimp until fully pink and curled.
06 -
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, followed by Italian seasoning, fresh ground pepper, red pepper flakes, and salt. Pour in enough of the reserved pasta water to moisten the pasta without making it too watery. Start with 1/4 cup of pasta water, adding more as needed.
