Ground Beef Foil Packet (Print Version)

Ingredients:

01 - 4 medium potatoes, peeled and diced.
02 - 2 large carrots, peeled and sliced.
03 - 1 large onion, sliced.
04 - 1 pound ground beef.
05 - Salt and pepper to taste.
06 - 4 tablespoons butter.
07 - Optional: herbs such as thyme or rosemary.

Instructions:

01 - Lay out 4 large sheets of aluminum foil.
02 - In the center of each foil sheet, place equal amounts of diced potatoes, sliced carrots, and sliced onions. Crumble ground beef over the vegetables. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and optional herbs like thyme or rosemary. Top each mixture with a tablespoon of butter.
03 - Fold the foil over the ingredients, sealing the edges tightly to form a packet.
04 - Grill: Place the packets on a grill over medium heat and cook for about 40-45 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender and the beef is cooked through. Oven: Alternatively, place the packets in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) and cook for about 40-45 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender and the beef is cooked through.
