Sweet Snacks (Print Version)

Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup all-purpose flour.
02 - 1 tbsp granulated sugar.
03 - 1 tbsp baking powder.
04 - 1/4 tsp kosher salt.
05 - 1 cup milk.
06 - 1 large egg.
07 - 2 tbsp butter, melted.
08 - 3 cups vegetable oil (for frying).
09 - 36 Oreos (1 package, 14.3 oz).
10 - Powdered sugar, for garnish.

Instructions:

01 - In a mixing bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and kosher salt.
02 - Add in the milk, egg, and melted butter, stirring just until combined. The batter should be slightly lumpy. Let the batter rest for five minutes.
03 - While the batter rests, heat the vegetable oil in a large pot to 350°F. Prepare a plate lined with paper towels for draining the fried Oreos.
04 - Using forks, dip each Oreo into the batter, ensuring it's fully coated. Let any excess batter drip off before gently placing the Oreo into the hot oil.
05 - Fry the Oreos in batches of 3-4 at a time, being careful not to overcrowd the pot. Fry each side for about one minute, or until both sides are golden brown.
06 - Using a slotted spoon, remove the fried Oreos from the oil and place them on the prepared plate to drain excess oil.
07 - Allow the Oreos to cool for a few minutes before sprinkling them with powdered sugar. Serve warm.

Notes:

01 - For a fun twist, try using different flavors of Oreos, like mint or double-stuffed.
02 - Serve the fried Oreos with a side of vanilla ice cream for an extra indulgent treat.
