Halloween Treat (Print Version)
Ingredients:
01 -
White Candy Melts or White Chocolate Chips: ¾ cup.
02 -
Orange Candy Melts: ¾ cup.
03 -
Yellow Candy Melts: ¾ cup.
04 -
Sweetened Condensed Milk: 9-12 Tablespoons.
Instructions:
01 -
Line a 9×5 loaf pan with parchment paper, letting it overhang on the sides for easy removal. Lightly spray the parchment paper with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.
02 -
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white candy melts (or white chocolate chips) in the microwave for 30 seconds. Stir well and heat in additional 15-second increments as needed, stirring well between each interval, until smooth. Stir in 3-4 Tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk, adjusting to your personal taste and texture preference. Spread the white mixture into the prepared pan, using an offset spatula or the back of a spoon to smooth. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
03 -
Repeat the steps for the orange candy melts: Melt the orange candy melts in the microwave for 30 seconds, stirring well and reheating as needed until smooth. Stir in 3-4 Tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk. Spread the orange mixture on top of the white fudge layer. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
04 -
Repeat the steps for the yellow candy melts: Melt the yellow candy melts in the microwave for 30 seconds, stirring well and reheating as needed until smooth. Stir in 3-4 Tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk. Spread the yellow fudge mixture on top of the orange fudge layer. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
05 -
Once all the layers are in place, refrigerate the fudge for an additional 2-3 hours or until it is fully set.
06 -
Remove the fudge from the dish, slice, and serve. For a more authentic candy corn look, you can slice the fudge into triangles.
Notes:
01 -
Add Flavor: Add a drop of clear vanilla extract to each layer for extra flavor.
02 -
Clean Cuts: Use a sharp knife and wipe the knife off after each cut for clean cuts.
03 -
Alternative Pan: You can use an 8-inch baking pan or a small rectangular Pyrex dish instead of a 9×5 loaf pan.
04 -
Incorporate Candy Corn: If you are a candy corn fan, you can fold chopped candy corn into the fudge or place whole pieces of candy corn on top as it starts to set.
05 -
Coloring White Chocolate: If you don’t have candy melts, you can use chopped white chocolate or white chocolate chips and color them with yellow and orange food coloring.
