Turkey Crescent Ring (Print version)

A golden Turkey Crescent Ring filled with cooked turkey, cranberry sauce, Swiss cheese, spinach, and creamy seasoning.

# Ingredients:

For the filling

01 - 3 cups (420 g) cooked turkey, chopped into bite-size pieces
02 - 4 oz (115 g) cream cheese, softened
03 - 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
04 - 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
05 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
06 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
07 - 1/4 teaspoon fine salt, plus more to taste
08 - 1 cup (30 g) lightly packed fresh spinach, chopped
09 - 1 cup (115 g) shredded or diced Swiss cheese
10 - 1/2 cup (140 g) whole berry cranberry sauce

For the ring

11 - 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
12 - 1 large egg, beaten
13 - Extra cranberry sauce, for serving

# Instructions:

01 - Heat the oven to 375 F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - In a large bowl, stir the cream cheese, Dijon, thyme, garlic powder, pepper, and salt until smooth. Fold in the turkey, spinach, Swiss cheese, and cranberry sauce.
03 - Separate the dough into 16 triangles. Arrange them on the baking sheet in a circle with the wide ends overlapping and the points facing outward, leaving about a 5-inch opening in the middle.
04 - Spoon the turkey mixture evenly over the wide inner section of the dough. Keep the filling in a neat mound so the points can fold over it.
05 - Bring each dough point over the filling and tuck it under the inside edge of the ring. Some filling may show between the strips.
06 - Brush the dough with beaten egg. Bake for 22-26 minutes, until deep golden brown and baked through on the bottom. Cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

# Good to know:

01 - Use cold crescent dough for easier shaping.
02 - Best served warm after a short rest.
03 - Filling can be mixed 1 day ahead and refrigerated.
