Texas Roadhouse Butter Chicken (Print Version)

Savory skillet chicken with garlic, butter, and honey for a flavor-packed dish.

# Ingredients:

→ Protein

01 - 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)

→ Aromatics

02 - 4 cloves garlic, minced
03 - Caramelized onions (optional)

→ Sauce

04 - 4 tablespoons butter, divided
05 - 1 cup chicken broth
06 - 2 tablespoons honey
07 - 1 teaspoon paprika
08 - 1 teaspoon dried parsley
09 - Salt and cracked black pepper, to taste

→ Garnish

10 - Shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt, cracked black pepper, and paprika.
02 - Heat a large skillet over medium heat and melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the chicken and sear until golden brown on both sides and fully cooked through, about 5-6 minutes per side, depending on thickness. Remove chicken and set aside.
03 - In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds to 1 minute, until fragrant but not browned.
04 - Pour in the chicken broth and stir in the honey. Use a wooden spoon to scrape up any browned bits from the pan to incorporate these flavors into the sauce.
05 - Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the sauce over each piece. Simmer uncovered for 5-7 minutes, or until the sauce slightly thickens and coats the chicken.
06 - If using cheese, sprinkle it over the chicken and cover the skillet briefly to melt.
07 - Garnish with dried parsley and optional caramelized onions before serving.

# Notes:

01 - For a richer flavor, use chicken thighs instead of breasts.
