02 - 200 g long-grain rice
03 - 480 ml chicken or vegetable broth
04 - 1 small onion, diced
05 - 1 red bell pepper, diced
06 - 1 yellow bell pepper, diced
07 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
08 - 60 ml BBQ sauce
09 - 15 ml olive oil
10 - Salt, to taste
11 - Black pepper, to taste

→ Finishing Touch

12 - Chopped parsley, for garnish (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced smoked sausage and cook, stirring occasionally, until evenly browned, approximately 4 to 5 minutes. Transfer the sausage to a plate and set aside.
02 - Using the same skillet, add the diced onion, minced garlic, red bell pepper, and yellow bell pepper. Sauté for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring frequently, until vegetables have softened and are fragrant.
03 - Stir in the long-grain rice. Pour in the chicken or vegetable broth. Season with salt and black pepper. Bring mixture to a gentle boil.
04 - Return the browned sausage to the pan. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18 to 20 minutes, until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
05 - Fold in the BBQ sauce, stirring until all components are evenly coated. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve hot.

# Notes:

01 - Allow the dish to rest, covered, for 3 minutes after simmering to ensure the rice fully absorbs the flavors and moisture.
