Swedish Meatball Pasta Bake (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 1/2 cups panko breadcrumbs.
02 - 1 1/2 sticks butter.
03 - 1 medium sweet onion, diced.
04 - 1 teaspoon black pepper.
05 - 1/2 teaspoon allspice.
06 - 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg.
07 - 3 cloves garlic, minced.
08 - 2/3 cup whole milk.
09 - 2 large eggs.
10 - 2 pounds ground meat.
11 - 3 tablespoons olive oil.
12 - 2 cups shell pasta.
13 - 1/2 cup flour.
14 - 5 cups beef broth.
15 - 1/2 cup water.
16 - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce.
17 - 1/2 cup heavy cream.
18 - Fresh parsley for garnish.

# Instructions:

01 - Mix butter-cooked onions, spices, milk and garlic with breadcrumbs.
02 - Combine meat with eggs and cooled breadcrumb mixture, form into balls.
03 - Refrigerate meatballs 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 375°F.
04 - Boil pasta al dente, brown meatballs in batches.
05 - Make roux with butter and flour, add liquids and simmer until thickened.
06 - Layer pasta and meatballs with sauce, bake 30 minutes.
