Divide the ground chuck into 8 small balls. Combine the salt, black pepper, onion salt, and garlic salt in a small bowl to make the burger seasoning.

In a small saucepan, melt the butter and add the minced garlic. Heat the mixture for 3 to 5 minutes until fragrant.

Brush the garlic butter onto the hamburger buns. Toast the buns on a skillet until they begin to brown.

Brush a small amount of the garlic butter onto each ground beef ball and sprinkle with garlic salt. Heat a grill or skillet to medium-high heat. Place the ground beef balls on the heated surface and press them into thin patties with a spatula. Season the patties with the prepared salt mixture. Flip the burgers when one side is cooked, and add a slice of American cheese to each patty.

Stack half of the burger patties on top of the other to create double patties. Place the patties onto the prepared buns. Dress the burgers with your desired toppings.
