Spaghetti Meatball Supper Delight (Print Version)

01 - 2 cans (28 ounces each) diced tomatoes, undrained
02 - 2 teaspoons sugar
03 - 2 teaspoons dried basil
04 - 2 garlic cloves, minced
05 - 1 teaspoon salt
06 - 1/2 teaspoon pepper

→ Meatballs

07 - 3 cups soft bread crumbs
08 - 1/2 cup water
09 - 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
10 - 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
11 - 2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
12 - 1 garlic clove, minced
13 - 1 teaspoon salt
14 - 1/4 teaspoon pepper
15 - 1 pound ground beef
16 - 1 pound ground pork

# Instructions:

01 - In a 6-qt stockpot, combine diced tomatoes, sugar, basil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 1.5 hours, stirring occasionally.
02 - In a large bowl, combine bread crumbs and water; let stand for 5 minutes. Stir in eggs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Add ground beef and pork; mix lightly but thoroughly.
03 - Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Shape the meat mixture into 1-inch balls. Place meatballs on a greased rack in a 15x10x1-inch baking pan. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until cooked through.
04 - Add the cooked meatballs to the sauce in the stockpot. Stir gently to combine and heat through.
05 - Serve the sauce and meatballs over hot cooked spaghetti.
