Caramelized peaches with butter and sugar, a classic Southern delight perfect for a summer dessert.

# Ingredients:

→ Main

01 - 2 large firm peaches
02 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
03 - 4 tablespoons granulated sugar
04 - 2 tablespoons light brown sugar

# Instructions:

01 - Peel the peaches using a sharp knife, halve them, and remove the pits.
02 - Place a skillet over medium heat and melt the unsalted butter until foaming.
03 - Arrange the peach halves cut side down in the skillet. Cook until the edges start to develop golden browning.
04 - Flip the peaches, then sprinkle half the granulated sugar and half the brown sugar over the fruit. Continue to cook until the underside browns.
05 - Turn the peaches again and scatter the remaining granulated and brown sugar evenly. Allow sugars to caramelize, turning the peaches gently to coat both cut and rounded sides in the syrup.
06 - Transfer the peaches to serving plates. Serve immediately, plain or garnished with whipped cream and chopped pecans if desired.

# Notes:

01 - Use firm peaches for the best texture, as overripe fruit will become mushy during frying.
