# Ingredients:

→ Filling

01 - 450 g ground beef
02 - 1 small onion, diced
03 - 2 garlic cloves, minced
04 - 1 teaspoon paprika
05 - 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
06 - 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
07 - Salt, to taste
08 - Ground black pepper, to taste

→ Cheese Layer

09 - 100 g shredded cheese, such as cheddar, mozzarella, or a blend

→ Batter

10 - 120 ml whole milk
11 - 2 large eggs
12 - 60 g all-purpose flour

→ Fat for Sautéing

13 - 1 tablespoon butter or neutral oil

→ Optional Add-ins

14 - Diced pickles, as desired
15 - Diced bell peppers, as desired
16 - Cooked bacon pieces, as desired

# Instructions:

01 - Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add butter or oil. Sauté diced onion for 2-3 minutes until translucent. Add ground beef and cook, breaking up the meat, until fully browned. Drain excess fat thoroughly. Stir in minced garlic, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
02 - In a mixing bowl, whisk milk, eggs, and flour until the mixture becomes smooth and lump-free. Batter should be pourable but not overly thin.
03 - Lightly grease a pie dish or small baking dish. Evenly spread the cooked beef filling across the base. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the beef, making sure to distribute evenly. Add any optional diced pickles, bell peppers, or cooked bacon if desired. Carefully pour batter over the top, evenly covering the filling.
04 - Place in a preheated oven at 190°C. Bake for 30–35 minutes until the top is set, lightly puffed, and golden brown around the edges.
05 - Remove from the oven and allow to rest for 5 minutes to ensure clean slices. Portion and serve warm.

# Notes:

01 - Drain excess fat thoroughly from the beef to prevent the final dish from becoming greasy.
02 - Allow resting time after baking to help the pie set and make slicing easier.
03 - For optimal texture and flavor, use freshly shredded cheese rather than pre-grated varieties.
04 - Batter may be prepared in advance and stored refrigerated for up to 6 hours before baking.
