01 -
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add butter or oil. Sauté diced onion for 2-3 minutes until translucent. Add ground beef and cook, breaking up the meat, until fully browned. Drain excess fat thoroughly. Stir in minced garlic, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
02 -
In a mixing bowl, whisk milk, eggs, and flour until the mixture becomes smooth and lump-free. Batter should be pourable but not overly thin.
03 -
Lightly grease a pie dish or small baking dish. Evenly spread the cooked beef filling across the base. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the beef, making sure to distribute evenly. Add any optional diced pickles, bell peppers, or cooked bacon if desired. Carefully pour batter over the top, evenly covering the filling.
04 -
Place in a preheated oven at 190°C. Bake for 30–35 minutes until the top is set, lightly puffed, and golden brown around the edges.
05 -
Remove from the oven and allow to rest for 5 minutes to ensure clean slices. Portion and serve warm.
