Smoked Cream Cheese Dip (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 16 ounces cream cheese.
02 - 1 tablespoon olive oil.
03 - 1 ounce IPA beer.
04 - 1 teaspoon mustard powder.
05 - 1 teaspoon brown sugar.
06 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika.
07 - 1 teaspoon onion powder.
08 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder.
09 - ½ teaspoon ancho chili powder.
10 - ½ teaspoon white pepper.
11 - ½ teaspoon salt.
12 - 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped.
13 - 3 jalapeños.

# Instructions:

01 - Heat smoker to 225°F with lid closed for 15 minutes.
02 - Place cream cheese in smoking-safe container. Mix oil and beer, brush on all sides.
03 - Combine all dry seasonings in bowl. Score cream cheese in crisscross pattern.
04 - Slice and seed jalapeños, toss with remaining oil/beer mixture and some seasoning.
05 - Cover cream cheese with remaining seasoning, surround with seasoned jalapeños.
06 - Smoke for 2½ hours. Garnish with cilantro before serving.

01 - Scoring helps smoke penetrate cheese.
02 - Can adjust spice level to taste.
03 - Serve with pretzels, crackers, or bread.
