Slow Cooker Hawaiian Chicken (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Protein

01 - 1 1/2 lbs. boneless skinless chicken breasts (or tenderloins/thighs)
02 - 5 slices bacon, cooked and sliced

→ Produce

03 - 1 green bell pepper, diced
04 - 20 oz. can crushed pineapple, drained thoroughly

→ Sauces & Seasonings

05 - 1 cup barbecue sauce (Sweet Baby Rays recommended)
06 - 2 tsp. soy sauce
07 - 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
08 - 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
09 - 1/4 tsp. black pepper

# Instructions:

01 - Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker. Add all remaining ingredients and stir the toppings to combine evenly over the chicken.
02 - Cover and cook on low heat for 6 hours without opening the lid during the cooking time.
03 - If desired, shred the chicken. Serve over white or brown rice, or on hamburger buns.

# Notes:

01 - Thoroughly draining the pineapple prevents the dish from becoming too watery.
