Preheat oven to 400°F.

Peel sweet potatoes, cut them into medallions, and arrange them in your baking dish.

In a small or medium saucepan, combine unsalted butter, brown sugar, water, spices, and salt. Heat on medium and stir until fully melted and combined.

Brush 3/4 of the sauce evenly over the sweet potato medallions. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 45-50 minutes.

Remove the baking dish from the oven, uncover, and distribute the remaining sauce over the potatoes. Sprinkle with chopped pecans and mini marshmallows.

Return the baking dish to the oven and set to broil for 1-2 minutes to toast the marshmallows. Watch closely to prevent over-toasting.
