Scalloped Sweet Potatoes (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 5-6 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into thin medallions
02 - 1/4 cup unsalted butter
03 - 1/4 cup light or dark brown sugar
04 - 1/2 cup water
05 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
06 - 1 teaspoon ground cloves
07 - 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
08 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
09 - 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
10 - 1/2 cup mini marshmallows

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 400°F.
02 - Peel sweet potatoes, cut them into medallions, and arrange them in your baking dish.
03 - In a small or medium saucepan, combine unsalted butter, brown sugar, water, spices, and salt. Heat on medium and stir until fully melted and combined.
04 - Brush 3/4 of the sauce evenly over the sweet potato medallions. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 45-50 minutes.
05 - Remove the baking dish from the oven, uncover, and distribute the remaining sauce over the potatoes. Sprinkle with chopped pecans and mini marshmallows.
06 - Return the baking dish to the oven and set to broil for 1-2 minutes to toast the marshmallows. Watch closely to prevent over-toasting.
