→ Main Ingredients

01 - 1 (1-lb) roll breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled
02 - 1 (8-oz) cream cheese, softened
03 - 1 (10-oz) can Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies, drained very well
04 - 2 (8-oz) cans refrigerated crescent rolls

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 375°F.
02 - In a large bowl, mix together cooked sausage, cream cheese, and drained Rotel tomatoes and green chilies.
03 - Separate rolls into triangles. Cut each triangle in half lengthwise making two triangles.
04 - Using a small cookie scoop, scoop sausage filling onto each dough triangle and roll up.
05 - Bake for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.

# Notes:

01 - It is very important to drain the Rotel tomatoes thoroughly. Drain them in a colander and squeeze out any excess liquid with paper towels.
02 - For easier preparation, pulse the cooked sausage in a food processor to get it very finely chopped for better incorporation with other ingredients.
03 - You can make the filling ahead of time and refrigerate for up to 3 days before assembling the crescents.
04 - These bites taste great hot out of the oven or cooled to room temperature.
