In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.

Once boiling, remove from heat and add the tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for 5 minutes.

Remove the tea bags and pour the tea into a large pitcher. Add 4 more cups of water and the baking soda to the pitcher and stir well.

Using the same saucepan, combine the remaining 2 cups of water, chopped strawberries, and granulated sugar.

Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer and let it cook for 20 minutes. Remove from heat and let the syrup cool to room temperature.

Strain the strawberry mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a small pitcher or cup, pressing the strawberries to extract as much juice as possible. Discard the strawberry pulp.

Pour the strawberry syrup into the pitcher with the tea and stir until well combined.

Serve immediately by pouring the tea over ice cubes.
