                Set oven to 190°C and allow to preheat fully.

                If using soft taco shells, brush each lightly with olive oil and arrange on a baking tray. Bake for 5 to 7 minutes until lightly crisped. Skip this step if using hard taco shells.

                Spread pizza sauce into the base of each taco shell. Top generously with shredded mozzarella cheese.

                Arrange several slices of pepperoni over the cheese. Sprinkle grated Parmesan evenly, then season with dried oregano and garlic powder.

                Place assembled tacos on a baking sheet and bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until cheese is fully melted and bubbling and shells are golden.

                Remove tacos from oven, garnish with fresh basil if desired, and serve immediately.
