Creamy Pink Sauce Pasta (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 300g pasta of choice (penne recommended)

→ Sauce Base

02 - 2 tablespoons butter
03 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
04 - 1 small red onion, minced
05 - 4 garlic cloves, minced

→ Sauce

06 - 1½ cups tomato passata (or puree/sauce)
07 - ½ cup heavy cream
08 - ½ cup milk
09 - ⅓-½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

→ Seasonings

10 - 1 teaspoon dried basil
11 - 1 chicken bouillon cube, crumbled
12 - Pinch sugar
13 - Red chili flakes to taste
14 - Salt and pepper to taste

# Instructions:

01 - Cook pasta to al dente according to package instructions. Drain, reserving some pasta water.
02 - Heat butter and oil in large skillet. Cook minced onion 4-5 minutes until soft, then add garlic and cook 1 minute more.
03 - Add passata, basil, bouillon, sugar, chili flakes, salt and pepper. Simmer briefly, then add cream, milk and mozzarella.
04 - Add cooked pasta and toss to combine. Heat through, adding pasta water if needed to thin sauce. Serve immediately.

# Notes:

01 - Can add chicken or shrimp if desired
02 - Best served immediately
03 - Use pasta water to adjust sauce consistency
