01 - 1 green bell pepper, finely chopped
02 - 1 red bell pepper, finely chopped
03 - 1 orange bell pepper, finely chopped
04 - 1 white onion, finely chopped

→ Meat

05 - 900 grams ground beef

→ Pantry

06 - 3 tablespoons neutral cooking oil
07 - Salt, to taste
08 - Black pepper, to taste
09 - 3 tablespoons ketchup
10 - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
11 - 2 teaspoons garlic powder
12 - 120 millilitres water

→ Dairy

13 - 56 grams cream cheese
14 - 100 grams shredded mozzarella or provolone cheese

→ Bread

15 - 4 hamburger buns

# Instructions:

01 - In a large frying pan, heat the oil over medium-high. Add the chopped bell peppers and onion. Cook, stirring often, for 5–6 minutes until they are softened and lightly caramelized. Remove the mixture from the pan and set aside.
02 - Add the ground beef to the same pan and cook on medium-high heat. Season with salt and pepper. Use a spatula to break up the meat and sauté until it is fully browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
03 - Return the sautéed peppers and onions to the pan with the beef. Add cream cheese, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and water. Mix well and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the cheese is melted, the mixture thickens, and it is bubbling gently.
04 - Turn off the heat. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella or provolone over the filling and stir until cheese is fully melted and smoothly incorporated. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
05 - Toast the hamburger buns if desired. Spoon the cheesesteak mixture generously onto each bun. Optionally, top with extra shredded cheese before serving.

# Notes:

01 - For a richer flavour, toast the buns before assembly. Adjust cheese selection between mozzarella and provolone according to preference.
