Fresh Fruit Energy Wellness Shots (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Apple & Ginseng Energy Shot

01 - 1 cup water
02 - 2 tart green apples, juiced or blended
03 - 1/3 cup raspberries, juiced or blended
04 - 1/3 cup blueberries, juiced or blended
05 - 1/3 cup blackberries, juiced or blended
06 - 1/4 cup ginseng drink (or 1/2 teaspoon ginseng extract plus 1/4 cup water)
07 - 1 teaspoon cinnamon

→ Strawberry Orange Ginger Shot

08 - 1 1/2 cups water
09 - 2 oranges, juiced or blended
10 - 1/2 cup strawberries, diced then juiced or blended
11 - 2.5 ounces ginger root, juiced or blended
12 - 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
13 - 1/4 cup honey (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - Blend apples with 1/2 cup water until smooth like applesauce. Transfer to mixing bowl.
02 - Blend all berries with ginseng drink (or extract and water) and cinnamon. Add the apple mixture back and blend until smooth.
03 - Strain through fine mesh sieve into bowl, stirring to help liquid pass through. Add 1 cup water and stir to combine.
04 - Distribute into 2-ounce containers, making about 10-12 shots.
05 - Blend oranges, strawberries, ginger root, cayenne and 1 cup water until combined. If using smaller blender, blend fruits first with half the water, then add ginger, cayenne and remaining water.
06 - Strain through mesh sieve, add remaining 1/2 cup water and honey if desired. Mix well.
07 - Distribute into 2-ounce containers, making about 10-15 shots.

02 - The ginger shots can be quite spicy from ginger and cayenne - honey helps balance the heat if desired.
