Mushroom Crostini (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 (8-inch) baguette, cut into 12 slices.
02 - 3 tablespoons olive oil, plus more for brushing.
03 - 1 tablespoon unsalted butter.
04 - 1/2 teaspoon brown sugar.
05 - 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, divided.
06 - 2 medium onions (3 cups), sliced 1/4-inch thick.
07 - 8 ounces cremini mushrooms, sliced 1/4-inch thick.
08 - 2 teaspoons minced garlic.
09 - 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar.
10 - 1 teaspoon soy sauce.
11 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper.
12 - 4 ounces goat cheese.
13 - 1 tablespoon sliced chives.
14 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder.
15 - 1/2 teaspoon onion powder.

# Instructions:

01 - Brush bread slices with oil. Bake at 350°F until crisp, about 10 minutes, flipping halfway.
02 - Cook onions with oil, butter, sugar and salt until caramelized, about 15-17 minutes.
03 - Add mushrooms to onions, cook 5 minutes. Add garlic, vinegar, soy sauce and seasonings.
04 - Mix goat cheese with chives, garlic powder and onion powder.
05 - Spread cheese on toasts, top with mushroom mixture. Garnish with pepper and chives.
