Monte Cristo Ham Sliders (Print Version)

Savory ham, turkey, and Swiss cheese sliders dusted with powdered sugar and served with berry jam.

# Ingredients:

→ Rolls and cheese

01 - 12 Hawaiian rolls
02 - 12 slices Swiss cheese

→ Cured meats

03 - 12 slices deli ham
04 - 12 slices deli turkey

→ Egg wash and seasoning

05 - 76 g salted butter, melted
06 - 1 large egg
07 - 0.5 tsp ground black pepper

→ Finishing and garnish

08 - 1 tbsp powdered sugar
09 - Raspberry or strawberry jam, for dipping (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 177 °C. Lightly coat a 23x33 cm baking pan with non-stick spray.
02 - Without separating, slice entire block of rolls horizontally. Arrange bottom halves in prepared pan.
03 - Distribute half of Swiss cheese slices over rolls. Add all ham, then all turkey. Layer remaining cheese slices on top.
04 - Place roll tops over layered fillings to close.
05 - In a bowl, whisk melted butter with egg and black pepper. Brush evenly over roll tops.
06 - Bake for 25 minutes or until cheese melts and tops are golden brown. Tent loosely with foil if browning too rapidly.
07 - Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve with optional jam for dipping.

01 - For best texture, slice rolls as a block to maintain structure and ease of layering.
