Mom's Salad Dressing (Print Version)

A sweet-tangy blend of oil, sugar, vinegar and ketchup that brings nostalgic homemade flavor to any fresh greens.

# Ingredients:

→ Dressing Base

01 - 1 cup grapeseed or vegetable oil
02 - 2/3 cup granulated sugar
03 - 1/4 cup white vinegar
04 - 1/3 cup ketchup

→ Seasonings

05 - 3 tablespoons dried minced onion
06 - 1 pinch salt

# Instructions:

01 - Add all ingredients to a jar with a tight-fitting lid and shake well to combine. Alternatively, place all ingredients into a medium bowl and whisk thoroughly until sugar is dissolved.
02 - Transfer the dressing to a serving bottle or pitcher. If refrigerating, shake or stir well before using as the dressing may separate.

# Notes:

01 - This dressing keeps well in the refrigerator for several weeks, making it perfect for meal prep.
02 - The dressing pairs exceptionally well with spinach salads topped with water chestnuts, bean sprouts, crispy bacon and toasted slivered almonds.
03 - For dietary variations, serve add-ons like bacon and nuts separately so guests can customize their salads.
