Classic Magic Cookie Bars Recipe (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base Layer

01 - 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
02 - 12 full graham cracker sheets (about 1 1/2 cups when crushed)
03 - 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

→ Topping Layers

04 - 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (6 1/2 ounces)
05 - 1 cup butterscotch chips (6 1/2 ounces)
06 - 1 cup shredded coconut (sweetened or unsweetened)
07 - 1 cup pecans (4 ounces), coarsely chopped
08 - 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk

# Instructions:

01 - Position a rack in the middle of the oven and preheat to 350°F. Line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, creating a sling with overhang on all sides.
02 - Melt the butter in a large bowl. Crush the graham crackers into fine crumbs, combine with salt and melted butter until evenly moistened. Press mixture firmly into the prepared pan using a flat-bottomed measuring cup.
03 - Sprinkle chocolate chips and butterscotch chips evenly over the crust. Follow with layers of coconut and chopped pecans. Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over everything - it will spread naturally.
04 - Bake until golden brown, 25 to 27 minutes. Cool completely on a wire rack for 1 to 2 hours. Use the parchment sling to lift out the bars, then cut into 20 pieces.

# Notes:

01 - Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days
02 - Can be frozen for up to 3 months
