Low Carb Bacon Cheeseburger Casserole (Print Version)

Hearty low carb dish with beef, bacon, cheddar, and creamy sauce for all the cheeseburger flavors you love.

# Ingredients:

→ Beef Layer

01 - 450 g ground beef
02 - 1 small onion, finely chopped
03 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
04 - 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
05 - Salt, to taste
06 - Black pepper, to taste

→ Sauce

07 - 115 g cream cheese
08 - 120 ml heavy cream
09 - 60 g shredded cheddar cheese
10 - 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
11 - 1 tablespoon sugar-free ketchup
12 - 2 large eggs

→ Toppings

13 - 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
14 - 60 g shredded mozzarella cheese
15 - 60 g shredded cheddar cheese
16 - Chopped pickles, to garnish (optional)
17 - Sliced green onions or chopped parsley, to garnish (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 175°C. Lightly grease a 20 x 20 cm baking dish.
02 - Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat with onion and garlic until meat is no longer pink. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Drain excess fat if needed.
03 - Spread the beef mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
04 - In a bowl, whisk together cream cheese, heavy cream, mustard, sugar-free ketchup, eggs, and shredded cheddar until smooth.
05 - Evenly pour the cheese mixture over the beef layer in the dish.
06 - Sprinkle crumbled bacon, mozzarella, and additional cheddar across the surface. Garnish with pickles and herbs if desired.
07 - Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes until golden and bubbling. Allow to rest for several minutes before slicing and serving.

# Notes:

01 - For ideal melt and texture, shred cheese fresh from the block. For a spicy option, add diced jalapeños. This dish is excellent for meal prep and freezes well; allow it to cool before portioning for clean slices.
