Layered Burrito Casserole (Print Version)

Soft tortillas layered with seasoned beef, savory cheese, and refried beans for a simple, Mexican-style bake.

# Ingredients:

→ Vegetables

01 - A small onion, diced up

→ Meat

02 - 1 lb of ground beef

→ Seasonings

03 - 1 packet of taco seasoning

→ Canned Goods

04 - One can of refried beans
05 - One can of undiluted mushroom soup

→ Dairy

06 - Half a cup of sour cream
07 - 2 1/2 cups of shredded Mexican cheese blend

→ Bread & Bakery

08 - A package of large tortillas

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 350°F (or 175°C) and let it heat up.
02 - Cook the beef and onion together in a big skillet until the meat is cooked through. Drain off any grease left behind.
03 - Add the taco seasoning and beans to the skillet, stirring until it’s evenly mixed and warmed up.
04 - Combine the mushroom soup and sour cream in a bowl. Stir it together until smooth.
05 - Take half the soup mix and spread it across the bottom of your chosen baking dish.
06 - Place tortillas over the soup layer, tearing them into pieces to cover completely.
07 - Spoon half of the beef and bean mixture on top, then sprinkle about a cup of cheese over everything.
08 - Repeat the process, ending by sprinkling the last of the cheese on top.
09 - Pop it into the oven for 20 minutes, or just until the cheese is melted and bubbling at the edges.

# Notes:

01 - Let the dish sit for 5 minutes before serving. It'll make it easier to cut and serve.
