01 - 2 pounds ground beef
02 - 1 ounce packet taco seasoning (plus water as directed)
03 - 16 ounce can large biscuits

04 - ½ cup sour cream
05 - ½ cup mayonnaise
06 - 8 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded (divided)

→ Vegetables

07 - 1 medium onion, halved and sliced
08 - 2 medium tomatoes, sliced
09 - 1 medium red bell pepper, halved and sliced
10 - 4 ounces canned sliced jalapeño peppers

# Instructions:

01 - Position rack in center and preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 13x9 glass baking dish with non-stick spray.
02 - Press biscuits into a single layer in the pan, joining them together and pushing dough halfway up sides. Place on a baking sheet and bake 12-15 minutes until very light brown at edges. Set aside but keep oven on.
03 - Brown ground beef, drain, then add taco seasoning and water according to packet instructions. Set aside in a bowl.
04 - Combine sour cream, mayonnaise, half the cheddar cheese, and half the sliced onions in a bowl.
05 - In the same pan used for meat, sauté remaining onions and bell peppers until slightly tender.
06 - Layer on biscuit crust in this order: taco meat, tomato slices, sautéed vegetables, jalapeños, sour cream mixture, and remaining cheese. Bake uncovered 30-40 minutes until edges brown and cheese melts.

# Notes:

01 - Using an oven thermometer is recommended as ovens can run hotter than the set temperature
02 - Can use homemade taco seasoning instead of packaged
