Sautéed cabbage, hash browns, and Irish cheddar come together in a golden, comforting one-skillet meal.

# Ingredients:

01 - 4 tablespoons butter
02 - 1 cup diced yellow onion
03 - 10 ounces shredded green cabbage
04 - ½ teaspoon sea salt or to taste
05 - 2 garlic cloves, minced or grated
06 - 20 ounces frozen hash browns
07 - 2½ cups shredded Irish cheddar, divided
08 - 2 green onions, chopped

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
02 - In a large skillet, heat the butter until melted and slightly frothy.
03 - Add the diced onion and sauté until fragrant and beginning to turn translucent, about 2-3 minutes.

05 - Add the minced garlic and cook for about a minute. Remove the skillet from heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
06 - Mix the frozen hash browns and 1½ cups of shredded Irish cheddar into the skillet until well-combined. Smooth the surface with a spatula.
07 - Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes or until the top begins to turn golden brown.
08 - Top with the remaining cheese and bake for another 4-5 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
09 - Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
