Honey Garlic Salmon (Print version)

Tender salmon fillets cooked in a sticky honey garlic glaze with soy sauce, lemon, and a quick skillet finish.

# Ingredients:

For the salmon

01 - 4 center-cut salmon fillets, about 6 oz (170 g) each
02 - 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
03 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
04 - 1 tablespoon olive oil

For the honey garlic glaze

05 - 1/3 cup (113 g) honey
06 - 3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
07 - 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
08 - 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
09 - 4 cloves garlic, minced
10 - 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes, optional

For serving

11 - 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
12 - 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
13 - Lemon wedges, optional

# Instructions:

01 - Pat the salmon very dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
02 - In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, rice vinegar, garlic, and red pepper flakes until smooth.
03 - Heat the olive oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the salmon presentation side down and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned.
04 - Turn the salmon over and cook for 2-3 minutes more, depending on thickness. Lower the heat to medium-low.
05 - Pour the honey garlic sauce around the fillets. Let it bubble for 2-3 minutes, spooning the sauce over the salmon until glossy and slightly thickened.
06 - Remove the skillet from the heat. Let the salmon rest for 2 minutes, then garnish with parsley and sesame seeds. Serve with lemon wedges if using.

# Good to know:

01 - Best with center-cut salmon fillets of similar thickness.
02 - The glaze thickens quickly, so lower the heat before adding it.
03 - Serve right away for the juiciest texture.
